What Field Forward is all About

Field Forward brings together farmers, researchers, startups, and industry partners to explore practical, real-world agricultural innovation. The focus is simple: designtest, demonstrate, and refine technologies and practices in real field conditions with farmer input at the center.

From data tools and precision ag systems to soil health strategies and next-generation production technologies, the goal is to solve food production problems — with solutions inspired and informed by farmers. Agriculture is changing quickly—but the best solutions are still built in partnership with farmers.

Field Forward is your opportunity to step into that process, see what’s emerging, and help shape what comes next.

What to Expect

  • Flipping the AgTech Innovation Model: Building AgTech and Financial Capital with Farmers
  • Project Whitewater: Turning Moisture Data into Crop-Saving Decisions (Demo)
  • From Soil to Server: Building Data Security with Farmer-Led Cooperatives
  • Technology & Startup Field Demonstrations
  •  What Farmers Want
Farmer facilitated round table discussions throughout the afternoon
  • Social and AgTech Demos

Built with Farmers at the Center

What sets Field Forward apart is its design: farmers are not passive observers—they are active contributors. Field Forward is intended to generate real feedback that informs how technologies are developed, adapted, and scaled for farm use. This is where research meets reality—and where innovation is shaped in partnership with the people who use it.

Why Attend

Field Forward offers a rare opportunity to:

  • Engage directly with researchers, startups, and industry partners
  • Influence the direction of applied agricultural research
  • Connect with peers across the Upper Midwest ag community
  • Bring practical insights back to your own operation

We’ll see you at the farm on June 9!
